Texas Next secured emergency response and interfacility contracts in five rural communities, and by securing all of the volume in these communities was able to provide higher levels of availability, better-trained staff, and safer, newer rotor and fixed-wing aircraft.
We have helped recruit two senior-level leaders with prior experience building air and ground emergency medical services who previously built and exited significantly larger operations. These leaders then substantially improved the quality of aviation and medical personnel.
Also, Texas Next invested significantly in state-of-the-art medical equipment to improve reliability and effectiveness of care, and patient simulators for advanced and repetitive training.
Finally, we partnered with a Texas Next investor and Senior Adviser who was a neurosurgeon with extensive air medical services experience to provide knowledge and credibility to the Summit Air Ambulance team and senior teams of the hospitals they served.

- Add a new rotor and fix a wing to the aircraft
